I was commissioned
to provide a work for Skapelser (Creations) a project for art in 26
churches, in the summer of 1995. The site allocated to me was the Senäte
church ruin. The only thing that remain are the mortuary chapel and
a stone marking the churchs former location.

I made Rastplats (halting-place) by placing 12 red canvas cushions by the
church site. Perhaps it was because I needed some rest. Perhaps because
the church was missing or perhaps there were other reasons. But one thing
is clear I did wish that visitors should have something to sit upon or rest
their head on. |
